AMPLIFYING WOMEN’S VOICES ON THE GLOBAL STAGE: LSF AT CSW69.

In celebration of International Women’s Month, the LSF proudly participated in the 69th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. Representing the organization was our Executive Director, Ms. Lulu Ng’wanakilala, who joined the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in advocating for the rights of women and girls—especially the most marginalized—to access justice, live free from violence, and realize their full potential.

During the session, Ms. Ng’wanakilala contributed to critical dialogues focused on accelerating gender equality and eliminating systemic barriers that hinder women's rights globally. She emphasized LSF’s unique model of empowering communities through grassroots legal aid services, highlighting the role of paralegals as frontline defenders of justice in rural and underserved areas.

Her participation also showcased the success of LSF’s flagship initiative, Sauti Ya Mwanamke, which centers women’s voices and drives legal empowerment across Tanzania. By sharing data, field experiences, and impactful testimonies, LSF reinforced the importance of integrating community-based justice into national and international frameworks.

This engagement was not just a moment of representation—it was a reaffirmation of LSF’s strategic vision: to ensure that every woman and girl in Tanzania is protected by law, aware of her rights, and able to access justice without fear or discrimination.

As we continue to partner with stakeholders globally and locally, LSF remains committed to building inclusive, gender-just societies where women can thrive and lead. We believe that when women’s voices are heard, nations prosper.
