In a powerful step toward strengthening community justice systems, the Legal Services Facility (LSF) has officially launched a 15-day training program for newly recruited paralegals from various regions of Tanzania. The initiative aims to enhance legal aid delivery and ensure that justice is brought closer to those in need.
Speaking during the opening session, Deputy Permanent Secretary from the Ministry of Constitution and Legal Affairs, Dr. Franklin Rwezimula, urged the paralegals to serve as ambassadors of justice, not sources of conflict. He emphasized the role of legal aid in fostering peaceful, loving, and stable communities by resolving disputes with integrity and fairness.
Representing the Executive Director of LSF, Mr. Amani Manyelezi, Director of Programs, stated that the training is designed to empower paralegals with practical skills and legal knowledge to offer quality assistance at the grassroots. He underscored the vital contribution of paralegals in advancing access to justice—particularly for women and marginalized groups—across the country.
