EMPOWERING PARALEGALS IN SHINYANGA: A STEP TOWARD EQUAL JUSTICE FOR ALL

LSF recently conducted a transformative training session for legal aid paralegals in Shinyanga, led by Mr. Henerico Masasi, the Regional Coordinator. The session was designed to improve the quality of legal aid services and reinforce the commitment to equality before the law, ensuring access to justice for all members of the community.

The training focused on enhancing knowledge in key areas, resulting in:

✅ A strengthened understanding of gender equality and human rights, enabling paralegals to offer more effective support.

✅ The revitalization of the Gender-Based Violence and Domestic Violence Prevention Committees (MTAKUWWA), in collaboration with their coordinators, to intensify local advocacy.

✅ Improved processes for case reporting and management, enhancing the delivery of legal aid services and follow-up for individuals seeking assistance.

These outcomes signify a major leap forward in building a stronger, more skilled network of legal aid professionals in Shinyanga, empowering them to support community members and create a more just society.
