LSF participated in a significant event where it handed over technology equipment worth approximately 30 million Tanzanian Shillings to two vital legal support organizations: Legal Vision Organisation (LEVO - Lushoto) and Morogoro Paralegal Centre (MPLC - Morogoro). This donation is part of LSF's ongoing efforts to enhance access to justice through efficient and effective legal support.
The handover ceremony, which took place in Lushoto District, Tanga Region, was attended by several key stakeholders committed to justice and community empowerment. The official guest, Prof. William Mwegoha, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Mzumbe University, led the event and emphasized the university’s commitment to supporting communities through legal education and assistance to vulnerable groups. His speech underscored the importance of such partnerships in addressing the legal needs of those who are often marginalized in society.
This donation is expected to significantly improve the capacity of LEVO and MPLC to provide legal services, conduct research, and facilitate community education on legal rights, ensuring that justice is more accessible to the people of Lushoto and Morogoro. By equipping these organizations with the right technology, LSF is furthering its mission to bridge the justice gap and ensure that everyone can access their legal rights.
