LSF, through its network of paralegals and in collaboration with the High Court of Tanzania – Arusha Zone, has conducted a legal awareness session for inmates and remandees. The session focused on educating participants about their legal rights, court procedures, and basic strategies for legal self-representation. This initiative is part of LSF’s broader mission to ensure access to justice for all, regardless of their status.
Through the training, participants gained a deeper understanding of how to present their legal arguments, the importance of legal aid, and their rights within the justice system. Such knowledge empowers individuals to navigate legal processes more confidently and seek fair treatment under the law.
This initiative strengthens equality before the law and inspires positive transformation in communities. By providing legal literacy in places often overlooked, LSF is helping bridge the justice gap and fostering a more just and inclusive society.
