On December 13, 2024, LSF, in its role as the Vice Chair of the Mama Samia Legal Aid Campaign, proudly participated in the official launch of the campaign held in Morogoro Region. The event was officiated by the Minister for Constitution and Legal Affairs, Hon. Dr. Damas Ndumbaro, and brought together key stakeholders in the justice sector.

The Mama Samia Legal Aid Campaign is a national initiative aimed at:

-Increasing public awareness of legal rights,

-Reducing gender-based violence, and

-Enhancing access to legal aid services, especially for women and children.

Since its inception, the campaign has achieved remarkable progress, including:

1. A significant rise in the number of people accessing legal aid services;

2. A notable decrease in family disputes resolved through legal means;

3. Strengthened collaboration between justice stakeholders and communities to ensure equitable access to justice.

LSF remains committed to supporting this important initiative by working closely with the Government and development partners to ensure legal aid reaches every citizen, regardless of their background.

Through this campaign, LSF continues to champion access to justice for all, empowering communities with knowledge, support, and hope.
