Position: BOARD SECRETARY

Lulu Ng’wanakilala joined the Legal Services Facility (LSF) in May 2019 as Chief Executive Officer, bringing extensive experience and leadership from years of service within the NGO and development sectors. Her career reflects a strong commitment to advancing women’s rights, promoting good governance, and strengthening access to justice in Tanzania.

She has held numerous strategic and governance roles, including Chairperson of the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood in Tanzania (WRATZ), Steering Committee Member of the Leading Safe Choices Project (LSC), Board Director of Tanzania Women of Achievement (TWA), and Founder and Board Member of the Tanzania Centre for Communication and Development (TCDC).

Lulu has also contributed significantly to national policy processes, providing expertise in coordination, facilitation, and participatory policy reform—most notably through her involvement in the National Poverty Reduction Strategy (MKUKUTA) and various technical working groups.

In addition to her development leadership, she is a member of the Tanganyika Law Society (TLS), further cementing her position as a respected advocate for justice, equity, and social transformation in Tanzania
