MR. LAWRENCE E. CHUMA
Position: BOARD MEMBERMr. Lawrence E. Chuma is an Advocate of the High Court of Tanzania and subordinate courts, as well as a distinguished consultant specializing in Management, Legal Affairs, and Governance. Over the course of his career, he has provided expert consultancy to more than 200 organizations, including civil society entities, private sector institutions, local government authorities, and public agencies.
With over 15 years of experience, Mr. Chuma is widely recognized as a seasoned researcher, trainer, mentor, coach, and facilitator. His expertise spans Governance, Organizational Development, Leadership, Human Rights, Youth Development, and Policy Formulation. His work has significantly contributed to strengthening institutional capacity and promoting accountability within multiple sectors.
In addition to his consultancy roles, Mr. Chuma has served as an external grants awards advisor, juror, and project appraiser in more than 50 projects, initiatives, and programmes worldwide—further demonstrating his breadth of knowledge and global perspective.
