RTD JUSTICE ROBERT MAKARAMBA
Position: BOARD CHAIRMANRTD JUSTICE ROBERT MAKARAMBA is a highly respected legal scholar and jurist with an extensive record of public service and contribution to the advancement of justice and human rights in Tanzania. A former Lecturer in Law at the University of Dar es Salaam School of Law (formerly the Faculty of Law), they played a pivotal role in shaping legal education and mentoring future generations of legal practitioners.
They later served as a Commissioner with the Commission for Human Rights and Good Governance (CHRAGG), where they were instrumental in promoting accountability, good governance, and the protection of fundamental rights across the country.
With a distinguished judicial career, they retired as a Judge of the High Court of Tanzania, leaving behind a legacy of integrity, fairness, and dedication to strengthening the rule of law.
